I was trained as a pharmacist. My work experience includes 8 years of marketing and business development in the healthcare environment. In the past, my work has been mainly in the healthcare industry. Though, in STB, I'm still promoting healthcare services, the scope is wider as we are promoting Singapore as a healthcare destination to a global market.
In my 2 years in STB, I had been working with our regional offices to promote Singapore's healthcare in Malaysia, Indonesia and US. I have the opportunities to travel to these countries for our in-market events. In these markets, I get to meet many people, ie media, government officials, industry partners and celebrities.
As for training, I have attended courses on how to be more creative in our work as well as destination marketing.
My typical day will either be planning for activities or implementing the plans in the markets that I'm in charge of. It includes organising a roadshow/event, planning media campaign (could be TV, radio or print), meeting industry partners for their feedback or work with them on new projects and working on the applications of the incentive scheme to assist our industry partners in their activities.
The things I like about working in STB are the family-like environment where people are willing to help whenever you need help and the flexible working hours that help to balance working and family life.
Be part of the STB family and join me as we set new standards in healthcare in the region.
