I came into STB just in time to manage the start of a 5-month planning process, which started from strategy discussion and ended with the sharing of detailed annual plans to all staff in STB. It was an intensive period, and was made possible through tight collaboration between internal divisions with planning group. Managing the planning process helped me appreciate the objectives that STB had, and how it was organising itself to deliver on those objectives.

Although my previous job was also in planning, the work is much more exciting in tourism than telecommunication.

Nine months into the job and the work experience has been positive. Learning in my job was mostly OJT, and I have access to the best brains in the business, through managing platforms such as the STB Board meetings, Tourism Consultative Council etc. Formalised training was also available, and I have attended courses in creative thinking, leadership and business process reengineering.

My work constitutes conducting studies / research in tourism to understand our customer segments and industry better. Working with stakeholders to align their workplan and initiatives to STB's overall objectives. Managing internal meetings to discuss strategic and operational issues.

The culture, people, accessibility to and friendliness of senior management makes working in STB fun.

If you have great planning mind, this is one career plan that merits analysis.
Come, match your wits with the best brains in the business in the Planning Group.
